Before broiling the salmon and pineapple, you will brush them with a sweet and spicy maple glaze. Then, you finish the recipe by placing broiled pineapple slices over the top of the salmon.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Salmon filets– Using fresh salmon might cost a little more money, but it will save you some time. Otherwise, use flash frozen salmon. Just be sure to properly thaw it first.

By the way, it is perfectly okay to use salmon with the skin on. Although not everyone enjoys eating the skin, it is edible. But, if you plan to eat it, using wild-caught salmon is best.

  • Pineapple slices– Fortunately, fresh, juicy pineapple is available all year long. Because of the high temperature involved with broiling, canned pineapple slices are too thin to hold up well.
