Ingredients

  • 2 Schar gluten-free baguettes
  • 8 tablespoons butter softened to room temperature (1 stick)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley finely chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt I use Lawry’s

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a small mixing bowl, mix together the softened butter, Parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic salt until totally combined.
  • Slice the gluten-free baguettes in half horizontally. Spread each cut side liberally with the garlic butter mixture. Lay each half cut side up on a large rimmed baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, then broil on high for 2-3 minutes, until golden and toasty. Let cool for a minute, then cut into 1-inch slices. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

MAKE IT DAIRY-FREE: Use your favorite vegan butter and dairy-free parmesan cheese. I like to use Country Crock Plant Butter and Trader Joe's Dairy-Free Parmesan Cheese. I recommend finely chopping the dairy-free cheese for this recipe.
RECIPE NOTES
  • Add Mozzerella. Want to take the cheesy factor to the next level? Add fresh Mozzerella to the top of the bread for the last few minutes of broiling, then enjoy the cheesy goodness!
  • Substitute olive oil. If you don’t have any butter, you could use olive oil instead. Simply mix in the other ingredients and use a basting brush to slather it over the gluten-free bread.
  • Use leftover garlic butter. If you have any leftover garlic butter, don’t let it go to waste! Use it to cook chicken, pork, or steak, or add it to baked potatoes.
  • Make croutons. Leftover bread makes amazing gluten-free croutons! Just cut the bread into cubes and toast in the oven until golden brown.
