Have you ever wondered what brand makes the best-tasting frozen gluten-free pizza? My family and I taste-tested 3 different kinds and today I’m sharing my favorite!
This post was created in partnership with Freschetta.
With 3 kids and busy schedules, I always keep a few gluten-free pizzas in my freezer. Frozen pizza has saved me so many meal times – whether it’s a busy weeknight dinner or a mid-week playdate lunch.
The Best Gluten-Free Frozen Pizza
We’ve tried a TON of different gluten-free pizzas over the years and today I’m reporting back on our taste test of 3 different pizzas. These brands all have several pizza varieties, but I did a taste test of the cheese pizzas to be able to best compare the taste/texture of the crust and sauce.
The pizzas I’m comparing are:
- Caulipower
- Udi’s Gluten Free
- Freschetta Gluten Free
Caulipower Gluten-Free Pizza
Taste: At first bite you can definitely tell there is cauliflower in the pizza. The sauce tastes nice but my kids can detect there is something different about this pizza.
Crust: The crust bakes up crispier than other cauliflower crusts I’ve tried. It is a little wetter than traditional pizza crust.
Overall: This pizza is good for cauliflower crust pizza. However, my family likes pizza that tastes like traditional pizza. My kids especially didn’t enjoy the cauliflower taste.
Udi’s Gluten Free Pizza
Taste: This pizza has no off-putting cauliflower flavor. It tastes closer to a traditional pizza but the cheese/sauce ratio isn’t ideal. The cheese is uneven in places and the sauce has a distinctive oregano taste.
Crust: The crust bakes up somewhat unevenly and warps slightly when baking. It also appears pale underneath after following the baking instructions.
Overall: My kids liked this pizza better than Cauliflower Crust Pizza. However, this pizza doesn’t bake up evenly or get as crispy as we like.
Freschetta Gluten Free Pizza
Taste: This pizza has a good ratio of sauce to cheese. The cheese spreads out evenly and the sauce has a delicious flavor.
Crust: The crust bakes up nice and crispy and gets golden-brown on the bottom. It has a flaky, delicate texture. We love how crispy it turns out!
Overall: My family and I agree this is the best-tasting gluten-free frozen pizza. You wouldn’t guess this pizza is gluten-free if you didn’t know otherwise. We like the combination of cheese, flavorful sauce and the delicate, flaky crust.
I love that when I bake up a Freschetta Gluten Free Pizza I know I’m getting a safe cross-contamination-free pizza in my own kitchen. I like adding a side of vegetables and ranch for my kids and a side salad for my husband and I for a complete meal.
Freschetta Gluten Free pizza also comes in 4 delicious flavors. My kids’ favorite is the Pepperoni and I love the Tuscan Style Chicken. When you eat gluten-free there’s no reason to miss out on amazing taste, with Freschetta Gluten Free available!

I love the pizza but is to much for one person. I especially like the spinach one.
I appreciate your website as my husband was diagnosed with celiac disease in May! So so glad that I found you!
I hope it can be helpful! Let me know if you have any questions getting started!
You should try Against the Grain frozen pizza. By far the BEST 🙂
We LOVE udis the best at our house. The sauce the crust the cheese have been our favorite over all. My husband and kids even like it better than gluten pizza I bake the crust directly on the oven racks I don’t put it on a tray or anything and haven’t had any issues of it baking up uneven.
