- Perfect flavor
- Simple recipe with simple ingredients
- Easy-to-make
Ingredients You’ll Need
Here are all of the ingredients you’ll need to make garlic bread just like your favorite Italian restaurants!

- Gluten-free bread: Schar gluten-free baguettes are the absolute best bread for this recipe! But of course, you can use other gluten-free French bread, or even homemade bread (as long as it’s gluten-free).
- Butter: I always use salted butter in my cooking/baking. If you want to make dairy-free garlic bread, you could use vegan butter and vegan Parmesan cheese.
- Parmesan cheese: Pre-grated Parmesan cheese makes it easy to whip up this bread in 2-3 minutes! Trader Joe’s makes a great dairy-free parmesan cheese for a dairy-free option. I recommend finely chopping the dairy-free cheese for this recipe.
- Parsley: You can use dried parsley or fresh parsley in this recipe, but I prefer fresh herbs.
- Garlic salt: Garlic salt adds that essential garlic flavor to this bread. Don’t skimp! You could also use fresh garlic or garlic powder and salt, if you prefer.
Make it Dairy-Free
For dairy-free garlic bread, use your favorite vegan butter and dairy-free parmesan cheese. I like to use Country Crock Plant Butter and Trader Joe’s Dairy-Free Parmesan Cheese. I recommend finely chopping the dairy-free cheese for this recipe.
How to Make It

- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Add softened butter, Parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic salt to a small bowl to make the compound butter.

- In a small mixing bowl, mix together the softened butter, Parmesan cheese, parsley and garlic salt until totally combined.

- Slice the gluten-free baguettes in half horizontally. Spread each cut side liberally with the garlic butter mixture. Lay each half cut side up on a large rimmed baking sheet.

- Bake for 10 minutes, then broil on high for 2-3 minutes, until golden brown and toasty.

- Let cool for a minute, then cut into 1-inch slices. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Storage Instructions
This easy garlic bread recipe is best served right after baking. If you do have leftovers, store them in an airtight container or Ziplock freezer bag at room temperature for up to three days.

Expert Tips & Tricks
- Add Mozzerella. Want to take the cheesy factor to the next level? Add fresh Mozzerella to the top of the bread for the last few minutes of broiling, then enjoy the cheesy goodness!
- Substitute olive oil. If you don’t have any butter, you could use olive oil instead. Simply mix in the other ingredients and use a basting brush to slather it over the gluten-free bread.
- Use leftover garlic butter. If you have any leftover garlic butter, don’t let it go to waste! Use it to cook chicken, pork, or steak, or add it to baked potatoes.
