Storage Instructions
Once baked, these cookies can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
Make-Ahead/Freezer Instructions
As with many other cookie recipes, I usually make a batch of dough, then bake half and freeze the other half.
When you want a cookie, just bake the frozen dough by adding 2-4 minutes onto the cook time. These are perfect to have on hand for those nights when you just need a little something sweet!

Yay! I'm so glad to hear that!
I buy the blanched almond flour online at Honeyville.com! You can also find almond meal at the grocery store. Trader Joe's carries it. And the brand Bob's Red Mill can usually be found at most grocery stores.
where do we find the almond flour at?
Nuts.com its a wonderful store to find everything you need
Trader Joe’s has almond flour a little cheaper.
walmart also has almond flour in the gluten-free section of the baking aisle.
You can find it in the bulk foods section of most grocery stores. That’s often a good way to go, since you can just purchase what you need. Almond flour also freezes well!
Walmart, Sams, Costco and most big grocery stores or you can buy it off amazon also.
These were FABULOUS!
Hands down the best chocolate chip cookies I've made since going gluten free almost a decade ago. Thanks so much for this recipe!!!!!!!
My sentiments exactly. Too good to be true. Great recipe. I used 1/2 a cup of Truvia instead of brown sugar and added one teaspoon of molasses to substitute for the brown sugar.
Great idea to get the carbs down. I’d also sub some of the eggs for flax eggs and part of the almond flour for coconut flour and sugar free choc chips or walnuts instead.
I made these in attempt to reduce my family's gluten intake…they turned out wonderfully!!! I found that letting them bake a little longer, until they are a bit crunchy on the outside, was better than leaving them soft in the center. Thanks for this recipe!
Can't wait to try!
going to make these now!!! i have blanched almonds that i'm going to ground up. Do you think this will be ok?
Of course…same as store bought but you do all the labor of grinding the almonds.
We made these tonight. One of my girls loathes any kind of nut, so we substituted Heath toffee bits. They are AMAZING! Thank you so much for sharing the recipe.
Thanks Abby! I'm glad you liked them!
Can you please post the nutrition facts for the serving size. I would like to know. Thanks!
Yes! Nutrition facts?!
Am doing the Keto diet- I saw some requests for the nutritional values but didn’t see them. Could you repost if I missed them?
Thanks!

Can you provide the nutritional facts?

Id love to know as eell. Not sure how toplug it in to myfitnesspal. Cookies came out great!
I made a batch of these cookies yesterday and they were amazing! Thanks for the great recipe!
Thanks, I'll try and let you know!
I think an additional 1/4 cup of butter would work! I haven't tried it that way so let me know how it goes!
Can you freeze these once they are baked? It makes a lot of cookies! 🙂
I made these, scooped them out with a melon baller, and froze them! I ended up baking for about an extra 3-5 minutes.
Raw cookie dough can be frozen with less effort. Freezing a cookie after it’s baked can change its texture. If want them frozen post baking….lay the room temp cookies on a parchment lined cookie sheet and put into freezer until completely frozen. Then wrap each cookie in wax paper or plastic wrap then store all in freezer rated zip top bag.
After baking these cookies, I put then in a ziplock freezer bag, and pop them in the freezer. We eat them straight from the freezer. Delicious!
I love doing that too! So good! Thanks for the comment 🙂
Hi Erin, I love this recipe Ms. Dee
It does make a lot cookies
I tried this recipe using all butter instead of butter plus coconut oil. i also subbed 1 tbsp of almond flour for flax seed meal. had to refrigerate before baking but they turned out great! thanks for the recipe!
Lovely recipe, one question: could I substitute the coconut oil? I react to anything with coconut…
I made these last night without any coconut oil and they were delicious. Instead of walnuts I added 2/3 cup of shredded coconut. The cookies are delicious.
Just saw this comment as I’m about to scoop out the dough. I don’t like walnuts, but I do enjoy coconut. Thanks for the idea!!
Hi there! I am wondering if I could use oat flour instead of almond flour? I don’t have any almond flour at the moment! Thank you!!
I can't wait to try these! We have friends coming to visit next week and she can't eat dairy or gluten. So I'm going to make these for her. Plus, I'd like to cut down on gluten just because the almond flour is a healthier choice. Thanks!
I made these cookies using 2 c almond flour and 1 c coconut flour and
1/4 c + 1 Tbsp veg. oil Large Tbsp of batter flattened slightly with a spoon. They took 15 min to cook and turned out amazingly.
