Dairy-free buffalo chicken dip ingredients on a countertop
  • Chicken: You can use cooked chicken breasts or rotisserie chicken in this recipe. I love the texture and flavor of rotisserie chicken. Plus, it helps save time! Check out this article on is rotisserie chicken gluten-free.
  • Dairy-free ranch: There are a few different dairy-free ranch dressing options out there, but I prefer Hidden Valley plant-based ranch.
  • Dairy-free cream cheese: I always turn to Kite Hill cream cheese when I want a delicious, dairy-free or vegan cream cheese option.
  • Frank’s hot sauce: While you could use another hot sauce in this recipe, it won’t have quite the same flavor. Frank’s red hot sauce is a must for that classic tangy buffalo sauce heat!
  • Mayonnaise: Hellman’s or Duke’s makes the best dairy-free mayo, in my opinion! You might like this article on does mayo have dairy.
  • Dairy-free cheese: I like to use Violife Cheddar Shreds for this recipe.
  • Green onion: I like to use the middle of the green onion. It’s more mild than the white part, but still has some good flavor and texture.
  • Seasoning: Garlic powder and ground black pepper help add flavor to this dip!

What dips do not contain dairy?

Salsa, guacamole, and hummus are all naturally dairy-free dips. You make other creamy dip (like bean dip and onion dip) using dairy-free cream cheese, shredded cheese, or sour cream.

Will more cream cheese make my buffalo chicken dip less runny?

If your buffalo chicken dip is runny, you may have added too much ranch dressing or hot sauce. You can improve it by adding more chicken, cream cheese, or cheddar cheese.

What makes buffalo chicken dip greasy?

Buffalo chicken can get greasy if you don’t mix it well enough before baking.

  1. Hi Erin! I’m from NC too! I just wanted to share that Organicville Ranch is certified GF now. I’m in salad heaven. Also I’ve been noticing some new hoisin sauces and Asian style hot sauces are now certified GF. It’s getting easier to find.

Also.. Wow four kids in that pic?? Congratulations and I wish you well. I’m a big believer in seaweed, opinions on that vary, but imo, it’s the energy saver. Please stay well, your blog is so cheery, thank you.
